My new Substack writing partner Radical Radha and I are collaborating on a couple of articles exploring in meatier detail how DEI can become a real force for good. This article focuses more on improved DEI for males and females, and Radha is handling racial and ethnic challenges. I haven’t yet been organizationally worked over like a Mafia snitch for being white, but I haven’t worked in an office in nearly six years.
What we’ve uncovered is inclusion needs DEI has historically failed to identify or address. In this article, I tackle a more equal DEI training for both men and women, assuming both to be strong, rational, agency-driven adults.
Radha’s article on racial/cultural discrimination is a must-read, as she identified a discrimination area sorely in need of DEI workshopping for a non-white group customarily ignored as sources of discrimination and bias. I have contributed as an editor to hers, as she did to mine.
