(May 12th) What began as a lovely conversation with a fellow tourist on a Barbados beach ended in sheer ideological nutbaggery.
When you condemn violence and hatred on one side but not the other, you are the problem, too. Both sides in the latest iteration of the eternal Israeli-Gazan conflict are guilty of violence, and hate, and yes, even genocidal intent. The ‘anti-violence’, ‘anti-hate’ set usually aren’t as committed as they think. What started out as a lovely conversation with a very nice British tourist turned into sheer ideological nutbaggery.
I am tired of the ‘only on their side’-edness.
