I'm not sure how they did it, but the radical trans ideologues have been astonishingly successful in making their preposterous anti Enlightenment Gnosticism a prominent if not the central element of the protean platform of the so-called Progressive Left. How that success was achieved would be a good subject for research for a PhD dissertation. For the time being, however, I'm sure any Advisor would emphatically warn a Candidate to steer clear of anything remotely touching on what has become established dogma. It would certainly foreclose any academic career; it might not even get past the committees. The sure proof that the trans activists and the believers know what they're peddling is dangerous nonsense is that their first response to any criticism is vituperative ad hominem demonizing of any critic, all with a view to blocking any actual scientific research that even remotely suggests it might cast doubt on the ideology.
I've been trying to figure out that condundrum for years now - how certain elements on the left have slid so far they're embracing the kind of charlatans and chicanery of which they (rightfully) accuse the other side. What I don't understand is how scientists and medical doctors and embrace this crap - even in the US, is the money actually worth it??? I mean, the video of the doctor speaking at the hospital in Vancouver, WA a year or two ago was damning - yes, he spoke about the money to be made--it reminded me of Fahrenheit 9/11 when the Bushies speculated on how much money could be made from the Iraq War. But does that explain all of it? The far left and right have both slid into clear cultism, one led by a cult of personality and the other--well, they're just gaslighting themselves.
But TG is a cult, for sure. Hence the anger and ugly attacks. I think they know deep down they're walking on very thin ice.
What's interesting is how Fox News hasn't touched this yet - they, who love to own the libs and who support anything the libs don't, who have little use for transgenderism - they've said *nada* on this and I wonder why. Why isn't Tucker Carlson all over this like he is on Putin? More of his base cares about TG medicine than it does Russia.
It's disgusting to me that any doctor would even consider pumping a man with hormones and drugs so that he can produce "milk." They need to grow some balls and tell these men to stay in their biologically defined lane. We all know there are plenty of sick people with weird sexual fetishes but they should never include the forced participation/exploitation of minors. Any medical doctor who would play a role on that molestation of an innocent baby should lose their license. I'm hopeful, or I keep hoping, that all this trans contagion is coming to an end so that our young girls and boys can be saved.
It's good news that the Guardian wrote about it yesterday. When I Googled this morning to see if any lefties were covering it I found that the G had written about it yesterday. Hoping other left-learning news sites will pick it up and run with it--but it'll be a slow start because it will make them look very, very, bad after years of Kool-Aid drinking.
