Look up the video essay and interviews with Isabella Taborovsky. She elucidates why and how Western journalism has become propagandized. You start to see how everything can be projection.
Not much of a mystery. Antisemitism has always been present on both sides, but it was easier to miss on the left, because they were better at hiding it. Also, right-wing Nazi types would wave their swastikas. Now the left has its own hate symbol: The keffiyeh, which was born in hate, unlike the swastika, which had a long and noble history before Hitler.
Hmmm…my thoughts on this article are complex. I agree with some parts of and disagree with others parts of it. I will start with areas where I do agree with you. You are right that this Pro-Palestinian lady is absolutely crazy. She has been radicalized online and spends all day reading Al-Jazeera, Electronic Intifada and Mondoweiss and binge watching AJ+ videos. The fact she’s never even heard of the 1929 Hebron Massacre tells you all you need to know.
The so-called Gaza genocide is pure fiction. She claims October 7th wasn’t genocide and the Palestinians are just angels who can do no wrong. She has a very black and white view of a very, very complex issue. At least the other lady admitted antisemites are bad across the board be they Nazis or Islamists. Indeed, it was Arab Muslims who came and conquered the holy land. The Jews were colonial subjects of the Arabs, not the other way around.
In fact, Arab Muslims came out of Arabia and conquered the whole region. They took over not only Israel but Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, North Africa, and Iran. Do you think Egyptians for example, are Arabs? Nope. Their Arabized Africans and before the arrival of the Arabs, they spoke the language, practiced the culture and worshipped the Gods of, Ancient Egypt. Israel was no different in this regard. The Palestinians are the descendants of Arab settlers and immigrants who came after a series of Muslim empires conquered the holy land and from Arab counties in search of work and a better life in the 1930s and 1940s.
There is speculation about other possible ancestry for the Palestinians but that’s what is known for sure. So who exactly colonized who? Jews living in the Islamic World were assigned dhimmi status. Granted they had it better than they did under Christendom, but they were still second-class citizens. Not to mention the Qu’ran has mixed views on the Jewish people. Also, it must be remembered Hamas isn’t fighting for Palestinian liberation, their fighting to build a global caliphate.
However, I would disagree with other points you made. You say you don’t agree with how Israel is conducting the war. I disagree, I think Israel is doing the only thing they can do. There is no other choice Hamas must be destroyed and the rest of the hostages living and dead rescued. Negotiations with Hamas have been tried, but they never fully keep their end of the bargain. Bibi and his cronies to be sure are a quasi-dictatorship and stand in the way of peace. But whatever one may think of the Israeli government, Israel is doing what is necessary to ensure its survival and prevent another October 7th.
Also, I reject the idea that Donald Trump is causing “insanity” in the United States. Again, we must assess him like any other President, objectively. Also, I’m sure if you lived during the War of 1812, the Great Depression or Watergate in the United States you would’ve said the same thing. America has been through many tumultuous times in our history and we will come through it.
I don't think we're that far-off, Noah. I don't object to Israel fighting back, just in how they've still managed to kill far too many people so far, and I don't know that destroying hospitals is the best way to go after Hamas even if they ARE operating underneath. I could be wrong about that but frankly I see some of the same craziness in the Israeli response that I see in the Gazans and Hamas when you bring up the subject of Jews.
I didn't say Trump was causing insanity; in fact, I think he's the manifestation of a country that has already gone insane (Kamala Harris as a presidential candidate is another example). We won't be able to be objective about Trump likely in our time but yeah, there will probably be a somewhat kinder assessment by historians who were born long after he died. And I think they will identify some good that came out of his second administration. Whether it will balance out the way he's hurting America, Americans, and the rest of the world remains to be seen.
I'll be kinder to him myself if we get through this crisis without a world war.

Good and yes how its has devolved to all this is kind of a mystery.

Thank you for saying this. It needs to be loudly repeated.
