You have described the problem better than almost anyone else I have read. Young, narcissistic people, mostly men, are increasingly responsible for horrifically violent and fatal outbursts. They are manipulated by dark forces in hidden corners of the internet which magnify their sense of resentment and encourage their desire to act out violent fantasies. With the lax approach to gun ownership in the US, this antisocial tendency threatens everyone. We never know when irrational violence will break out next. No community is safe. Anyone’s workplace, church, synagogue, or school could be next. All because the Republican Party has cynically chosen to court an extremist base that cannot tolerate any restrictions on gun ownership.
