This denialist attitude is beyond infuriating. And to go beyond denying and into justification territory? How does someone even do that? One account of a Hamas rape video that I read before going to bed kept me up most of the night. What they did to women on October 7 is an unspeakable atrocity. To deny it or justify it is complete insanity.

It is unfortunate that, in the chaotic aftermath of Oct 7, volunteers collecting the bloodied remains, motivated by a desire to give the dead their dignity by burying them as quickly as possible according to Jewish custom, ended up tampering with a crime scene by doing so. So there is no forensic evidence left. Any future international court proceedings will not have this vital evidence. Hamas can now claim "Nothing to see here folks!"

Yes, it’s infuriating. But we have enough evidence to damn them forever. AND their cheerleaders and little handmaids on the campus left. When extremism travels far enough it meets the one on the other hand…and then….they join hands ;(

Another harmful twist is when rape allegations come riding in on a political horse. When the allegation is seen as an attempt to derail an election or political appointment, partisanship trumps (not that guy) the issue. the supporters of the man so charged unsurprisingly assume that it is a lie for political purpose because of the timing. Of course, the accusation could be true and be being brought forward for political purpose. The partisan who seeks to bring down a political rival unsurprisingly accepts the charge, even when dubious.

I often say that if you mix a teaspoon of sewage with a bottle of fine wine you end up with a bottle of sewage. Politics are more important to most people than justice for some woman defiled, or a man falsely accused. It can result in additional trauma for a rape victim to have it dismissed over partisan politics.

Every rape should be investigated, not taken at face value as holy writ. Now, i looked heavily into Tara Reade's last allegation against Joe Biden - that he digitally raped her. I really looked for corroborating testimony, because there was no physical evidence. For all her other allegations there were people who said, "Yeah, she said that, he made her uncomfortable, he stood too close, he touched her shoulder," etc. *No one* corroborated her story about being pushed against a wall with Biden's hand down her pants. The allegation came right before Super Tuesday and it came out very shortly after that she was a Trumper and an admirer of Putin. She'd even written an article about it on Medium, but she took it down after the fuss started. However, there were some mirrors elsewhere. The timing was pretty suspicious, and the lack of anyone saying, 'Yeah, I remember her saying he did that' re the wall incident made me doubt her.

Yeah, people, especially detractors, will always try to make it political. I doesn't help. And it's not always applicable. E Jean Carroll's been after Trump for decades, and the wheels of justice grind slowly. Although I *do* wish women would come out with this stuff earlier, like preferably a few years or decades earlier. When you wait as long as Tara Reade, it comes down to she said/he said. Carroll, on the other hand, claimed to have a stained dress Monsieur declined a DNA sample for.

You nailed it.

Another Canadian false accusation of rape: Steven Galloway. Check out Brad Cran’s devastating expose of Galloway’s railroading at UBC. The “feminists” there royally f*ed up by believing a conniving accuser. His newsletter is on Substack.

I didn't realize that case had ended that way. It's so long and convoluted I had probably long stopped paying attention by the time they got to the denouement. Wow, what a twisted case that was.

Thank you for writing this important essay. It's as well written and reported as it is devastating.
