These “activists” are posers. Posers look like they could be trans people but they are not. In reality they are David Bowie saying he’s bisexual and playing Ziggy Stardust. Films have been made about this part of gay culture that goes all the way back to Wilde and Woolf. The danger is that this iteration has grown political teeth at the expense of culture. What to do about it? I feel that joining Gays Against Groomers is as much an activist poser trap. I can have an opinion, and I can not silence those I disagree with, but beyond that I’m as beholden to this censorship as anyone else. Perhaps more so because people expect me to be a “good trans.”

So what if you're not? I'm not a 'good liberal' as far as some of my friends are concerned. I've lost a few because I'm 'insufficiently liberal', or maybe they simply became illiberal. The trans movement seems to me the least authentic culture out there, but it got twisted and fucked up at some point in the last fifteen years. The transwomen I knew (no transmen) in years of yore were just nice, decent people living their lives as authentically as they could. The transwoman that come to our CT Pagan church for years was just a nice person doin' her thang, making a slow transition in the traditional manner since like Christine Jorgenson. Be a Bad Trans. Be the trans the transactivists warn their friends about. If I can be a Lousy Liberal, you can be a Bad Trans. Joke 'em if they can't take a fuck.

What to do about it? Joke 'em if they can't--oh, I already said that. Be *authentic*. Say what you think needs to be said. Where do you feel like you have to censor yourself?

Being a dropout is irrelevant. Have you tried to develop your talent?

I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.

Ah, i see you found the article already. Thanks for reading and recognizing it's okay to disagree, unless the subject is, "Let's kill all the Elbonians because they are evil."

It’s more to evoke the sentiment, we don’t disagree about everything.
