Muslims don't carefully investigate, weigh, then decide their preferences for political change in the West. They are commanded, on pain of eternal damnation, to support the eventual supremacy of Islam over all peoples of the world. Westerners, never having studied Islam's foundational texts, tend to disbelieve the clear aims and commandments of the faith. Of course, they are encouraged to do so by their own leaders as well as Muslims worldwide.
I think we're missing a lot of folks who aren't as committed to The Cause as one might think. I'm going to explore progressive Islam in a future article. One thing that might help is if we begin drawing clear boundaries for Muslim immigrants. Like, this is what you can say and not say, do and not do. Calling for the death of Jews is right out. Legitimate criticism of Israel is fine. No encouraging terrorism, overtly or not. No fucking little girls. And enforce separation of religion and state.

You don't get it. You simply do not understand Islam. A Muslim does not have choices when it comes to the integrated Islamic society prescribed in detail by the foundational texts. Questioning those texts or providing alternative interpretations to their laws and demands was expressly and explicitly forbidden nearly a thousand years ago. There exists NO "progressive" Islam and there can NEVER be such a thing. What don't you get about "submission"? I suggest you focus less on writing what you wish to be true and focus your attention instead on what is actually in front of your face and what can (and must) be done about it.
Oh, and Muslims are encouraged and directed to lie to the infidel (that's you and me) as and when necessary to advance the spread of Islam, so your "drawing clear boundaries" is, again, pure fantasy. Of course you may consider such lies as you're told "good enough" for immigration purposes and then simply live with the damage to Jews, terrorism victims, LGBT, children, and Western political standards and practices. Me, I'll fight you every step of the way.

The VAST majority of strife in the Middle East and North Africa (Sub-Saharan Africa as well, come to think of it) is TRIBAL, not religious in nature (with one glaring obvious and eternal exception). As far as your Second Amendment slur, you must have me confused with someone else (perhaps the source of your bile and antipathy toward me). For your information, I have no problem with left/liberal opinions regarding licensing, possession, storage, and use of firearms: all you need do before restricting or seizing them from American citizens is to repeal the Second Amendment to the Constitution. There's even a well-established constitutionally valid procedure for doing so: both houses of Congress must pass the amendment of repeal by a 2/3 majority, then it must be ratified by 3/4 of the states. Better get busy, that's a lot of work ahead of you. Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for Muslims along the way, especially ones with knives from Amazon (England) or their kitchens (Germany)...
